Terms of use & refunds
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms apply to the Edel Notetaker app and to licences bought for it. In short: try it free for 30 days, then pay €10 a year or €30 once, and get a full refund on a lifetime licence within 7 days if it's not for you.
1. Who provides Edel Notetaker
Edel Notetaker is provided by EDEL Group (EDELGRP), Switzerland ("we"). Contact: [email protected]. Licences are sold by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which processes payments, collects VAT and issues licence keys.
2. Free trial
Every new user can use all features free for 30 days from the first time the app is opened. After the trial, recording requires a licence; meetings you already recorded stay readable.
3. Licences and prices
- Yearly: €10 per year, renewed automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; the licence then stays active until the end of the year already paid.
- Lifetime: €30, paid once, for use without time limit, including updates.
- Prices may include VAT depending on your country; the final price is shown at checkout. During early access, prices are heavily discounted; prices you have already paid never change.
- One licence works on one computer at a time. You can move it to another computer yourself, from Settings → Licence.
- Every feature is included in every licence. There are no ads and no paid add-ons.
4. Refunds
- Lifetime licence: full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. After a refund, a lifetime licence can't be bought again for 12 months.
- Yearly licence: you can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. If you were charged by mistake or the app doesn't work on your computer, write to us within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it.
- To ask for a refund, write to [email protected] with your order email, or use the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. Refunds are paid back to the original payment method.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
5. Free months for your ideas
If we build a suggestion you sent us into Edel Notetaker, we give you 6 additional months of use for free. Whether and when a suggestion is built is our decision.
6. Using the app responsibly
- Recording laws: in many countries, everyone in a conversation must agree to it being recorded. You are responsible for informing the people you record and obtaining any consent the law requires.
- You may not resell, share or rent your licence key, or try to bypass the trial or licence checks.
- The app's source code is not public. Companies may request access for a security review at [email protected]. Open-source components included in the app remain under their own licences, listed in the app.
7. Third-party services you connect
Calendars (Microsoft 365, Google), Zoho Recruit and AI providers you choose (BYO key) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You pay AI providers directly for their use. We are not responsible for those services.
8. Transcripts and summaries
Transcripts and summaries are produced automatically by AI and can contain mistakes, especially for names, numbers and amounts. Check important information before relying on it.
9. Liability
Edel Notetaker is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the last 12 months. Back up recordings that matter to you. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies, and important changes are announced in the app. These terms are governed by Swiss law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain applicable.
